Barrel Aged Coffee
This Limited release Barrel Aged Coffee is a labor of love. Our coffee is meticulously aged in a freshly dumped bourbon barrel for several weeks turning the barrel each day to ensure the coffee properly absorbs the essence of the barrel. The roasting process burns off any residual spirits leaving you with a coffee unlike any you've had before. Share in the experience! Much like the craft of making bourbon we believe in single use barrels as such this coffee is in limited supply and once it's gone well you will just have to stick around for our next barrel release.
Tasting Notes:
Rich and savory with bold bourbon and chocolate tones. Initially, the aroma is ripe bananas and red currant before returning to expected nuance provided by bourbon barrel aging: baking vanilla and toasted oak. The texture of the coffee is very velvety. Each sip is like breakfast in a glass-French toast drizzled with maple, topped with banana and a side of Applewood smoked bacon. Undertones of cigar box follow, leaving bread pudding on the finish.
